Status: Full-Time, Salaried

Salary: $55,000 - $80,000

Impact

The Grants Director is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of JACF’s grant funding strategy, including grant research, proposal development, reporting, compliance, and stewardship. This role serves as the organization’s primary grants expert and contributes directly to revenue growth and organizational sustainability through successful grant acquisition and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Lead and manage a comprehensive grants portfolio and supports organization revenue goals and strategic priorities.
● Research, identify, and evaluate grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding sources.
● Write and submit grant proposals, applications, reports, and supporting documentation.
● Manage grants through the full lifecycle, including prospecting, stewardship, reporting, and renewal.
● Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to develop project plans and measurable outcomes.
● Oversee grant compliance and reporting requirements.
● Maintain and manage the organization’s grants calendar.
● Serve as the primary liaison for grant-related communications.
● Monitor grant performance and funding outcomes.
● Create and manage grant budgets in partnership with the finance team.
● Maintain accurate donor and grant records within the CRM and project management software.
● Partner with Marketing and Communications on impact stories and recognition opportunities.
● Represent JACF professionally with funders and community stakeholders.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (required)

● Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
● Minimum 3 years of successful grant writing, grants management, fundraising, or related nonprofit experience.
● Proven success in securing grant funding.
● Experience managing grant reporting and compliance requirements.
● Familiarity with CRM systems, grant tracking and prospecting platforms, and project management software.
● Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
